About the Instructor
Gary R. Street D.C., Ph.C., F.I.C.A., F.P.A.C., L.C.P., D.Ph.C.S.
Dr. Street graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa in 1965. While in Davenport, as a student, he was a member of the Student Council, Illinois club, Toastmasters International, Student International Chiropractors Association, Men’s Dormitory Proctor and a member of the Delta Sigma Chi Professional Fraternity. He also served as student assistant to the President of the college, Dr. David D. Palmer. He was awarded the “Outstanding Graduate Award” at graduation at the age of 20.
Because of his interest in Chiropractic Philosophy, he stayed at Palmer college and completed another academic year and a 28,000 word thesis titled ,”Correlative Chiropractic Techniques”, located in the Palmer Archives. In 1966, Dr. Street graduated from Palmer College with the degree “Philosophy of Chiropractic” (Ph.C.), Dr. Street just completed the new special Philosophy program presented by Palmer College and August 2001. He presented a 19,000 word thesis titled “Chiropractic Neurostasis - The Normal Completed Cycle” and received the “Legion of Chiropractic Degree” (L.C.P.), being the only chiropractor in history to hold all three chiropractic degrees and presently taking the D.Ph.C.S. diplomat program at Palmer.
He remained at Palmer College in 1965 as an Assistant Professor in technique until entering the United States Army. He served at the Bone Specializing Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia during the Vietnam War. In May, 1968, Dr. Street returned home in Olney, IL and started his chiropractic practice. He has been active in his community, president of the Olney Chamber of Commerce, chairperson of the Richland County Bicentennial Commission, and served six years as the representative of Richland County Comprehensive Health Planning Committee and Vice-President of Southern Illinois Comprehensive Health Planning Region, establishing Chiropractors as “Primary Providers” in the State of Illinois.
Dr. Street has attended numerous seminars and workshops including Parker (66 seminars), Chuck Gibson Management, Sterling, Kats, Trout, Singer, Whitehall, Quest, H.J. Ross, Masters and many others. He also holds two certificates from Erhardt X-rays programs and is a member of the International Academy of Neurovascular Diseases.
Dr. Street is a Past President of Illinois Prairie State Chiropractic Assoc., Past President Palmer International Alumni Assoc., Past Vice-President of International Chiropractors Assoc., and served on the advisory committee for the Chiropractic Centennial 1995. He has been honored with Fellow International Chiropractors Assoc. (F.I.C.A.) and Fellow Palmer Academy of Chiropractic (F.P.A.C.).
Dr. & Mrs. Street helped develop the International Chiropractors Assoc. Romanian Project, and spent two tours in Romanian Orphanages. His group introduced Chiropractic as a “New Separate” health science to the Romanian Government. Member Editorial Board “The Chiropractic Choice”, I.C.A. paper

Dr. Street has developed and teaches “The Basics” Chiropractic Office Fundamentals since 1978. He tours the United States teaching “The Basics” Chiropractic Medicare Workshop to Chiropractic groups, state associations and colleges and is known as the “Chiropractic Medicare Specialist”.
“The Basics” Chiropractic Office Fundamentals Book is in it’s 10th printing, and “The Basics Chiropractic Medicare Workshop DVD is updated each year. He is a well know Chiropractic Philosophy speaker as well as a Chamber of Commerce speaker. Dr. Street published his book titled, “D.D. Palmer’s Early Years—His Path To The Discovery Of Chiropractic”, February 10, 2004. He is a chiropractic historian, apiarist, ultra-light pilot, precinct committeeman, author, vintner, speaker, husband, father, father-in-law, and five times grandpa.
